FEBRUARY2nd Third day in Drake Bay...still good times! 5 Sailfish, 1 Mahi Mahi.

JANUARY 31st Pez is Fishing in Drake bay for a couple days, today 10 Sailfish were released!
JANUARY 30th 8 Sailfish released today by our ofshore anglers!
JANUARY 29th 5 Sailfish released today by our fishermen.
JANUARY 27th Full day ofshore a little slow, but at least we got 1 Mahi Mahi for dinner.

JUNE 21st Today our offshore anglers released one 60 lb. amber jack.

JUNE 17th Today our boat fished half day and 3 big sailfish were released and 1 tasty tuna was taken to the grill by some really happy anglers!.

May 2011 The afternoon and evening rain showers over Quepos might make the Mahi Mahi bite become more attractive for the Quepos fishing fleet anytime soon. The Sailfish bite numbers decreased a bit with the blue water line moving around like crazy. We did have some big Marlin, Snook and Mahi Mahi at the start of the month. The inshore bite for Roosterfish has been good for some inshore crews. And several really big Snook have been caught in the mouth of the river north of Quepos.

WHY TO FISH IN QUEPOS?

Quepos fishing offers you a great opportunity to catch a vast variety of fish. For those of you seeking Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, mahi-mahi and Tuna, Quepos is the perfect destination, as on the months from November through May, Marlin and Sailfish are caught daily in abundance. Days of up to 15 catches per are very common.This is one of the main reasons why Costa Rica has quickly become one of the favorite fishing destinations around the world.

Also for those looking for Inshore fishing, Quepos has a host of fish to tangle with. By far the most sought after is the Costa Rica rooster fish. These magnificent fish are not only one of the most exotic fish to catch but pound for pound no other inshore fish fights harder.

For those of you that would rather target eating fish. This is not a problem as Costa Rica fishing offers you many species. Dorado ( Mahi Mahi ) is always one of the preferred choices, however, red and yellow tail Snappers are a close 2nd. Wahoo is also an amazing fighting fish but a real delight on the grill. Costa Rica Snook fishing is World class. In fact the world record Snook was caught in the Quepos fishing waters. Most large Snook are caught in the mouth of the local rivers where the sea waters meet the river and can produce some real monster Snook.
